LSAE committees are an excellent way to make the most of your membership. Network with your peers and help grow the association.  Most committees meet by conference call, but in-person meetings are requested as needed. Please read about our different committees and sign up below for ANY committee or task force of your choice. 

Annual Convention Committee

• Develop an annual convention program in accordance with LSAE’s standards and goals
• Review the association’s convention to ensure effectiveness
• Time commitment: Meet monthly.
  

Annual Sponsorship Review Committee

• Focuses on annual supporter packages .
• Review and refine annual supporter packages
  
• Hold meetings to discuss value statement of each package.
• Time commitment: Meet monthly

Bylaws Committee

• Focuses on updating bylaws 
• Time commitment: Meet monthly

Communications Committee

• Oversee publication of monthly electronic newsletter, biannual magazine, and annual directory
• Provide website design support
• Build Social Media outreach
• Time commitment: 3 reviews of printed publications per year; meet quarterly.
  

Education Committee

• Develop educational programs in accordance with LSAE’s standards and goals
• Develop and maintain policies and standards for educational programs
• Review association programs to ensure effectiveness
• Time commitment: Meet quarterly.
  

Finance Committee

• Counsels with the Executive Director on LSAE’s annual budget and prepare recommendations for the Board of Directors, as well as auditor selection and audit review.
• The Committee may perform other duties related to LSAE finances as determined by the Board.
• Time commitment: Meet monthly.

Government Relations Committee

• Review, organize and implement advocacy regarding legislative issues, which affect the association industry
  and the profession and recommend specific positions to the Board of Directors
• Motivate members to become more actively involved in a wide variety of political activities
• Educate members as to the need for involvement and advocacy
• Time commitment: Meet during active legislative session as needed.
  

Membership Committee

• Recruit new Regular and Supplier members
• Provide direction and leadership for LSAE to maintain and increase membership
• Time commitment: Meet quarterly.

Nominating Committee

• Interviews Board nominees and recommend a slate to the Board.
• Time commitment: Meet annually.
• Time commitment: Meet annually.
