The Society of Louisiana CPAs (LCPA) seeks a Membership Coordinator

Society of Louisiana CPAs (LCPA) is a non-profit membership association that works to support CPAs (Certified Public Accountants) and the accounting profession as a whole. The bulk of our members are licensed CPAs in Louisiana who join LCPA to support their career. We proudly serve CPAs of all ages — from accounting students to retirees — by offering local members-only networking events, in-person and online continuing education courses, and a wide range of leadership opportunities to help grow their professional development skills.

 

We are currently in search of a new full-time employee to serve as Membership Coordinator. We are looking for a candidate who is capable of tending to the needs of our membership base, while also engaging and informing potential members about the perks of being a part of our dynamic organization. We need a candidate who easily can connect with a wide range of different people. One day you might be working a happy hour for young professionals, making sure all of the members in attendance feel relaxed and welcome. The next day you may be in the state capitol building, listening to our members discuss new legislation that could potentially affect the accounting profession. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a team player, and an outgoing people-person with excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. We have a small, yet supportive, staff which means every voice matters. When creating new membership recruitment and retention campaigns, we need a candidate who is a self-starter and can manage the project from beginning to end, collaborating with our design team, and delegating tasks as needed.

 

Our organization is made possible by our amazing members who hold volunteer and leadership positions. If hired, this candidate will serve as the volunteer liaison, ensuring clear communication between staff and volunteers, while helping to reach our collective membership engagement goals. Familiarity with the CPA designation and is not required to apply, but we do require candidates to be eager to learn and confident in their ability to educate, promote, and grow with the ever-evolving accounting profession.

 

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred. Knowledge and proficiency in current Windows operating systems needed. Regular travel within Louisiana required.
